Why we like it

It's a harsh truth, but the PlayStation 5 simply did not launch with enough storage. It's a frustrating reality considering how expensive they are (not to mention how difficult they've been to track down), but it's where we're at. So that's why we highly recommend picking up an extra SSD to pair with your shiny new console. This one from Western Digital is top-tier, and it's $130 off during Best Buy's sale.

Xbox deals

Why we like it

There's really no better budget console on the market right now than the Xbox Series S, especially when it comes to new-gen (that's right, we aren't saying "next-gen" anymore). It's affordable, compact, and boasts almost all the great features that its fancier sibling, the Xbox Series X, does. That includes lightning-fast load times, 120 FPS and HDR support, ray tracing, and more. The only things you won't get are the built-in disc drive or true 4K resolution of the Series X, but you'll be able to play games in 1440p, which still looks fantastic. Add on an Xbox Game Pass subscription, and you have a pretty amazing combo for the price.

Nintendo Switch deals

Why we like it

If you want to play Switch games online with your friends, you're going to need a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online. Annoying, we know, but at least this bundle comes with an extra 256GB microSD card so you don't have to play the "storage shuffle" with your downloads anymore.

Curved gaming monitors may not seem like game-changers right away, but they certainly can be. Samsung's curved 100R panel attempts to replicate the curvature of the human eye to cut down on strain and increase immersion, which just makes playing feel better. The monitor also features a 240Hz refresh rate, 1ms response times, AMD FreeSync Premium support, WQHD resolution, and HDR10 compatibility.
